Introducing the Catholic Media Blog
Hi, my name is Rob DeFrancesco. I am a husband, father, and the executive director of the Catholic Media Association. With a strong passion for strengthening organizational cultures and driving impactful change, I've had the privilege of leading in both the Catholic Media Association and the Diocese of Phoenix — first as an editor with The Catholic Sun Newspaper, then as diocesan communications director.
As the face of the Catholic Media Association, I've championed its mission — first as a Board member for a decade, then as its President, and now as its Executive Director — advocating for the value, effectiveness, and identity of our member organizations and media professionals across North America. With a rich history dating back to 1911, the Catholic Media Association holds a special place in the industry. Collaborating closely with our Board of Directors and outstanding staff, I spearhead our strategic vision, facilitate professional development, and promote active participation among our members.
I am excited to share our new endeavor with you: the Catholic Media Blog.
This blog highlights some of the most insightful and memorable articles from our monthly newspaper, The Catholic Journalist. In the ever-adapting world of Catholic media, I wanted to start this blog to share articles from our board president and other association members to highlight what they are doing and learning in the world of Catholic media.
I look forward to bringing you inspirational and educational content from various members of the Catholic media community. I am excited to have you along on this journey with us!
Yours in Christ,
Rob DeFrancesco
