How might we bring more intention to our work in media and communications? This webinar is an invitation to pause as we enter into the season of Lent, and to reflect on the vocation to faith communication.  Thinking prayerfully about what God teaches us about communication in Scripture and using a contemplative lectio-divina (holy reading) approach, this mini-retreat invites participants to encounter God's Word, especially as God speaks to each of us in the midst of our work in media and communications.

Sharing from her recent book Speak Lord Your Servant is Listening: Reflections on Faithful Communication in a Digital Age, Daniella Zsupan-Jerome invites participants to a contemplative moment with God's Word and an opportunity to grow in faithful communication.

Daniella Zsupan-Jerome is assistant professor of pastoral theology at Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville Minnesota.  Her research explores the intersection of social communication, digital culture, and pastoral theology. She has served as a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Communications, and as a tutor for the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication’s Faith in the Digital Age project.  Her key publications include Connected Toward Communion: The Church and Social Communication in the Digital Age (2014) and Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening: Reflections on Faithful Communication in a Digital Age (2024), both from Liturgical Press. She is a mom of two, spouse, and Benedictine Oblate, living in Central Minnesota.
