Learn the basics of Catholic journalism, how it is distinct from other forms of content creation, and the ways it can serve the Church. Led by Laura Ieraci, editor of ONE magazine and senior communications officer at CNEWA, topics will include: the steps to develop a story from idea to finished product, what makes a good article, the key elements of good newswriting and tips on working with volunteer writers. This webinar is for media professionals who are new to Catholic publishing and to the field of Catholic journalism. 

Laura Ieraci is editor of ONE Magazine and senior communications officer at CNEWA. Previously, she worked at Catholic News Service and Vatican Radio in Rome, Horizons of the Eparchy of Parma in the U.S., the Archdiocese of Montreal and the Catholic Times in Canada. Her past long-term collaborations in journalism included Salt + Light Television, Catholic News Agency, Parole et Vie, and Canadian Religious Conference. She serves on the board of the revived Canadian Catholic News, and is a founding instructor of CCN’s online course, Telling Truth in Charity: Introduction to Catholic Journalism. She has won multiple journalism awards. She is the founder of The Religion & Journalism Project.
